Ron Douglas Is Promoted Vice President Of TekCollect, Inc.
"Without question, Ron has been instrumental in the formation of this company. If he hadn't come in, the business wouldn't be what it is today."
That's what Tom Schultz has to say about Ron Douglas, TekCollect's new Executive Vice President.
After five years of managing software systems for a large warehousing and distribution firm, Ron started with TekCollect in the spring of 2000. He was hired to spearhead collection software and Internet development. Ron quickly proved he not only had extensive technological expertise, but also a strong customer service background. He began managing vendor relationships, credit bureau reporting, client and debtor correspondence, marketing collateral and a host of other operational duties.
As Ron's tenure grew, so did his responsibilities. He established the policies and procedures for accounting. And he served as a liaison for the Sales force, optimizing customer service, creating commission structures, and proposing and customizing programs to meet the unique needs of TekCollect's diverse client base.
Now, as Executive Vice President, Ron is managing all this... and more. Perhaps that's why when you ask what he enjoys in his free time, he replies "What free time?"
That said, Ron is a self-proclaimed "hacker" on the golf course. "There's a certain skill set you need to have to call yourself a golfer, and I'm not quite there yet," he jokes. He is the proud owner of a black Labrador puppy. And he spends a great deal of time working on his new home in Westerville, OH.
"Ron is the reason we have the structure we have today. He is my partner. My confidante. And it's a comfort knowing he's with us."
